Trying to be supportive of staff, while knocking heads and tending to dreary administrative tasks, takes a bit of doing. It is a balancing act we often fail to achieve. Today was such a day. Attempting to be present and helpful to my most noble and steadfast assistant was impossible. I achieved little in the way of creating promotions or programs. “Putting out fires”, an overused term, describes it best.
Oh well, there is always next week.
